Buffelgrass (Pennisetum ciliare)and fountain grass (Pennisetum setaceum) are spreading through the Sonoran Desert and threatening our distinctive native Sonoran Desert plants. AZNPS has prepared two flyers on these invasive nonnative species. PDF versions of these flyers can be downloaded or viewed in your browser.
In the City of Tucson, The Department of Neighborhood Resources will provide digging bars and large trashbags to remove these invasive grasses from your neighborhood.
