Please plan to attend the 16th Annual Arizona Botany Meeting on 31 Aug – 1 Sep 2019 sponsored by the Arizona Native Plant Society. This year’s theme is: Exploring the Botanical Diversity, Ecology, and History of Arizona’s Native Flora
A wide range of papers and posters will be presented covering many different aspects of Arizona’s native flora. The meeting will be held at the Gherald L. Hoopes, Jr. Activities Center, Eastern Arizona College, 615 Stadium Avenue Thatcher, AZ, on August 31, 2019, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Presentations following this year’s theme and poster sessions on general Southwestern botanical subjects will be offered throughout the day. Optional field trips will be offered on Sunday, September 1, 2019.
Our continuing goal for the meeting is to foster a spirit of cooperation for the sharing of ideas among, and facilitating collaboration between, all individuals from academic institutions, local, state, and federal government agencies, and non-governmental organizations from across the state of Arizona, and to provide a forum to meet others who share an interest in the flora of Arizona and surrounding areas within the Southwest.
The early registration fee for the meeting is $40.00 and includes Continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshments (coffee and tea). A reduced fee of $25 is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. Early registration for the meeting will be due by August 16, 2019. After August 16, the late registration fee is $45 ($30 students). Registration will not be accepted after August 23, 2019. An evening dinner with a presentation will be offered at a separate cost of $20.
