Bee Aware! Natives are worth far more than their weight in honey to our native plants.

What’s all the buzz about Native Bees?   Native wildlife of all kinds, tiniest insects to largest plants, are very interdependent.  Not just any bee can do the pollinating that keeps the health of an ecosystem alive and well.  Native bees are not the honey-making kind, but they also are not the swarming, run-for-your-life bees that many people fear.  Native bees are solitary workers that pollinate and keep native plants flourishing.  The Tucson Bee Collaborative website has loads of information, pictures and planting suggestions to support the health of Arizona’s native pollinators.
