SUMMARY:Phoenix Chapter meeting: Desert Tortoise Habitat & Adoption
DESCRIPTION:We’ll begin this virtual meeting with 10 minutes of networking and socializing\, enabling participants to seek tips and recommendations from members on topics related to native plants. Next\, we’ll share Chapter announcements. \nThen\, we’ll feature a presentation by the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AGFD)\, followed by Q&A. We’ll learn about the desert tortoise\, including its habitat needs and diet of Sonoran Desert native plants. We’ll also hear about the AGFD desert tortoise adoption program\, which is seeking Arizona homes for this year’s adoptees! \nTo attend the May meeting\, please register in advance via Zoom. \nThis meeting is open to Arizona Native Plant Society members as well as the general public. We hope to see you then!
