Speaker: Fred Heath, “Bodacious Butterflies”
Description: Anyone present in SE Arizona in the second half of 2021 couldn’t help but notice the unprecedented abundance of butterflies. Fred will present a brief primer on butterfly biology: life cycle, host vs. nectar plants, predators and avoidance including mimicry which will help explain this phenomenal flight. In addition, Fred will explain how members of Tucson ANPS helped to solve the mystery (at least to him) of a grass/butterfly connection.
