Carolyn will give an overview of conservation issues in Pima County including the Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan, formation of the Ironwood Forest National Monument, and the latest on the proposed Interstate 11. The Coalition’s mission is to protect the biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert in southern Arizona through science-based advocacy, education and collaboration. AZNPS has been a member of the Coalition since its inception 25 years ago.
