| Description | A small perennial wildflower with red disk flowers and yellow 3-lobed rays. Look for this plant along roadsides, in fields, and in woodland clearings in the eastern and northern portions of Arizona. This is a plant with good potential to reseed, and it can be planted from nurery stock or seed. Try mixing with other wildlowers and grasses for a meadow effect. Good companions could be blue grama (Bouteloua gracilis), blanket flower (Berlandiera lyrata), penstemon (penstemon spp.), and bluestem (Schizachyrium sanguineum) |
