Description | Known from just a handful of canyons in Arizona, this is an excellent low shrub for partial shade. Red tubular flowers cover the plant and are highly attractive to hummingbirds. This is a lightly frost sensitive species that will want to be planted in warm locations. Consider blending with other subtropical plants like kidneywood (Eysenhardtia orthocarpa), doll's head (Lagascea decipiens), and Arizona yellow bells (Tecoma stans). |
