Description | Another grape relative, this vine has palmate leaves with serrated edges which turn a lovely reddish color in the fall. You can find this species in moist canyons or wet areas in the mountains which run roughly northwest to southeast across Arizona. Small greenish blooms are followed by purple berries. This vine can become incredibly dense with time, covering shrubs and vigorously climbing trees. This plant can be grown throughout much of the state, but in the lowest elevations will require ample shade and water. |
