Description | This species is similar to Koeberlinia spinosa with green stems ending in sharp points, but is often more upright and arborescent. This species is found in Arizona around Phoenix and into the southwestern portion of the state. Look for this plant on well draining wash edges, or gravelly alluvial slopes. Flowers come in dense clusters of small cream colored blooms, followed by tan or reddish berries which attract wildlife. A good choice for a very drought tolerant wildlife hedge plant. |
