| Description | This airy, long stemmed dalea is typically found in grasslands, or at the upper margins of desert scrub where it blends in with other species until the appearance of the caterpillar-like inflorescence with small lavender blooms. To get the most out of this species it is best to either mass plant it around a large shrub, or interplant it with grasses and shrubs such as grama grasses (Bouteloua spp.), tanglehead (Heteropogon contortus), and velvet pod mimosa (Mimosa dysocarpa) |
