Description | A stunning hummingbird attractor for cool, high desert gardens. Skyrocket throws a flower stalk into the air with thin, tubular purple blossoms. These plants occur naturally on well draining, rocky soil and slopes, and will want reliable drainage in a garden. This could be a good species for a native rock garden along with coral bells (Heuchera sanguinea), and wild geranium (Geranium caespitosum). In high elevation gardens this plant will tolerate full sun but lower down will benefit from partial shade. |
