Description This species is primarily found in Pima and Santa Cruz counties where it occurs mostly in washes in the filtered light of trees and shrubs. Plants have relatively large egg shaped leaves, from which rises a stalk bearing bell shaped purple blooms. It's important to note that this species spreads readily by seed and can form dense patches which act more or less, like a groundcover. This is a great attractor for pollinators And a larval source for numerous butterflies and moths.
